Environmental Commitments
We believe businesses must protect the environment for future generations. Committed to sustainability, we make eco-conscious decisions and work to reduce our footprint, supporting a sustainable future.
As part of our commitment, we proudly associate ourselves with 1% for the Planet, an esteemed global network comprising 4000 businesses across 90 countries. Through our membership, we pledge a minimum of 1% of our sales to support organizations actively working to address the environmental crisis. This collective effort not only reflects our dedication to tangible action but also aligns with the shared goal of ensuring authenticity and transparency in environmental initiatives. By participating in this network, we contribute to the prevention of greenwashing, demonstrating our commitment to genuine environmental impact and the certification of responsible brands. Together, we strive to be a positive force in the pursuit of sustainable solutions and a healthier planet.
Our Commitment to the Ancient Forest Alliance
At Stillwater, we’re committed to caring for the environment, and a portion of our annual sales supports the Ancient Forest Alliance (AFA). The AFA works to protect British Columbia’s old-growth forests and advocates for sustainable forestry practices. Their efforts include preserving endangered ancient forests, supporting First Nations’ land planning, ending raw log exports to boost local jobs, and encouraging local mills to adapt to second-growth logs. By visiting us, you’re helping to protect BC’s natural beauty and contribute to a sustainable future.
Raincoast Conservation Ally
We’re committed to supporting British Columbia’s natural beauty, which is why a portion of our annual sales goes to the Raincoast Conservation Foundation. This organization is dedicated to protecting BC’s coastal wildlife, especially the 76 remaining resident orcas in the Salish Sea. Raincoast’s team of scientists and conservationists researches coastal ecosystems, advocates for science-based policy, and inspires community action to preserve these critical habitats. We’re proud to contribute to their work, helping to ensure a thriving future for BC’s land, waters, and wildlife.
